Level Two moves from recognising the archetypes to understanding how patterns develop, interact and change in real practice.
Designed for practitioners who have completed Level One, this training takes the Archetype Approach deeper into observation, relationships, play, emotional intensity, group dynamics and the environment.
Where Level One begins with:
“What am I seeing?”
Level Two begins to ask:
“What is happening beneath it, how are these patterns interacting, and what might help bring greater balance?”
Through deeper observation, case studies and reflective practice, Level Two supports you to:
• recognise layered archetypal patterns rather than viewing behaviour in isolation • notice how different archetypes interact within relationships and groups • explore patterns emerging through play, conflict, withdrawal and emotional intensity • understand how adult responses and the environment can widen or narrow what is available to a child • move from recognising behaviour to making thoughtful balancing adjustments • deepen reflective observation without rushing towards labels or conclusions • explore story, symbolism and imaginative play as expressions of the child’s inner world • document and reflect on practice through case-based learning • develop greater confidence holding complexity without immediately trying to fix it
Level Two is not about becoming better at categorising children.
It is about becoming better at seeing them.
The aim is to move from archetype recognition towards a deeper, relational understanding of how patterns live, meet, change and integrate.
Level One should be completed before beginning Level Two.

Children don’t need correction. They need balance.
